This hand-lettered digital illustration for apparel was created using Procreate with a focus on maintaining a hand-drawn, organic feel. Featuring a playful otter blasting off into space, the design is paired with bold, custom lettering that reads “Welcome to Otter Space.”
Originally developed as a hero design for a surface pattern collection, this piece was created using a limited color palette challenge of orange, yellow, dark blue, brown, white, and green. It balances expressive typography, textured illustration, and whimsical storytelling—making it a perfect fit for kids’ apparel, stationery, or fabric prints.
This illustration is currently mocked up on a toddler’s t-shirt, showcasing its potential in children’s fashion and product design. While the full collection is still in development, this piece represents my passion for illustrative lettering, character-driven art, and storytelling through design.
